I have been asked my opinion of why the greens at Augusta national are drying out so rapidly and looks so bad on TV.The first thing they say is it would never look like that when Brad Owen was there.
That couldn’t be further from the truth. These are tournament conditions.
I know that of all the people reading what I’m about to post less than one percent of you has PGA TOUR championship Agronomy experience so you truly won’t understand.
But I’m going to post what I just wrote to a very close colleague of mine.
What Augusta Greens Actually Look Like Under Tournament Setup
Those greens can visually appear:
• Slightly off-color or “dry”
• Tight, almost sealed at the surface
• Firm to the point of sounding hollow underfoot
But that’s often by design, not decline.

Augusta pushes:

To get there, you:

The plant is under controlled stress, which can look like decline but is actually peak performance conditioning.

Vet inte varför riktigt, men har haft svårt för Lowry. Håller nog på Rory nu, då han är med i packet och Ludde inte har segerchans. Om Rosey vinner, inte vore det fel heller.
Jag tycker Rory kan vara lite arrogant ibland. Lowry verkar ju vara en glad skit som har en riktig Pub-kropp. Många pints och fish and chips…
Rose vore ju roligt för att han varit så nära så många ggr och är så pass gammal. Och för att han kan spela fantastisk golf när han är på rätt humör.
Fast jag blir inte ledsen om Rory vinner heller. Han ligger fortfarande lite back på majors sett till sin karriär i stort så han är väl värd att fylla på med en till också.
Och kanske runt 8-9 på stimpen istället för dagens 13+ eller vad dom ligger på.
Möjligen. Men det här med bruna greener är rätt nytt.
Tror mest dom brukade köra mer målarfärg samt hade bättre koll på tv produktionen förr.
En bra golfgreen är aldrig grön.
